The Abominable Cyclops Monster!

Its almost February and yesterday was the first time since October that Ive seen snow. I mean real snow, falling from the sky, not snow made by a machine. I was so excited! I couldnt wait to go run and play in it like a kid again. After taking care of grown up business (i.e. shoveling my driveway, neighbors driveway, my sidewalk, both neighbors sidewalks and cleaning off the car) I was joined by my two nephews and niece for a couple hours of real sled shredding. Then as I was cleaning up and putting things away in the garage I noticed something out of the corner of my eye.. I saw it crawl into a hole in a pile of snow, so I ran inside and grabbed my camera as quickly I as I could. When I came back out, he was gone. I wanted a picture so bad I risked my own safety to get closer... this is what I saw...

Happy Holidays!!

Another year is almost at its end. Kind of crazy how fast this one went, eh? Ive been having tons of holiday fun and I hope it makes it to the new year! All the good food and the chance to see old friends and family again make this time of year one of my favorites. Oh and who can forget about the presents!? It always feels good to give a gift but we all know receiving gifts is even better, here is a small stash of some of the goodies I got this year. I got some other cool things as well but I didn't think anyone would want to see a picture of a toaster oven.. enjoy the rest of the holidays!!

8x8 Art Show Benefit

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to take part in an art show at Allen High School to benefit the arts program at the school. Every year, more and more money is being taken out of programs like these all across our country and it is a real shame. To keep the art alive, Joan Gaydos along with many other teachers and staff members have put on this show for the past two years to raise funds and get local artists to show off what they can do. I had so much fun with this whole event! For those of you who didn't make it out.. I got you covered, peep the pics!
